That is one fast cr500
My 300hp motor I have in my quad does 9 sec in road bike.
Mabe he would not leave him half track.
And the 300hp motor will run all day. _________________ OH "profanity removed" I SAID "profanity removed".......OH "profanity removed" I SAID "profanity removed" |

yeah man, im tellin ya his cr5 is a downright weapon. its combination of durability and power would have to make it one of, if not THE best CR500 in the world
rumour has it that he has tried over 60 different engine configurations over the years, and it has slowly but surely gotten faster every year since i first started going to the beach races in 2002.
it would definitely be great to see a quad beat it though, i reckon it could happen in the next couple of years if they allowed it. _________________ 2002 SE Banshee |

Someone should talk to this dude about building one of his nice CR500 donks for a 250R.
A bit more flywheel and a point lower on the comp.
He could enter both classes and race himself _________________ Can-Am X Team

Mate if you live as close as Airly you must go at least once just to see it , and bring your ltr i recon , the more the merryier.
I have raced it a few times years ago and did the drive last year to watch.
Best of all is the first quad race of the day especily the first turn, everyons heart pounding down the straight then WAK carnage in the first corner.
And as much as I love my quads I still rekon I would bet my left nut on the CR |

hmmmm long rd trip from Adelaide..
Bullet you up for it?
Dale can vouch for my bikes reliabillity,
and i can vouch for everything else.
in a 500m or 750m dash i can easily get to 240kph,(current gearing max)
and then stop and turn again. i honestly think a cr500 with a top speed of 200 kph would struggle agaisnt me on the longer straights.
and i can allways take a smaller front sprocket just in case. |

Mate you dont have to worry about me doubting the 10.
It's been around for a while now and I've seen it pull mono's at 200kmh...
And I'm sure a bit of tweaking on my Can-Am speedway bike would produce some respectable 450cc times...
Like you said, the road trip is the hard bit.
Maybe we should look at it _________________ Can-Am X Team

Go for it. After seeing some of those video's of your bike on youtube i think it would do pretty good. _________________ "If in doubt go flat out"

big no no in the ma rules... |

not sure what the go is but its pretty much run what ya brung. for example the two quad classes are standard and modified...
in all the 2 wheeler classes there are capacity limits, except for the street bike class.
get in contact with someone from the mackay motorcycle club to find out more. _________________ 2002 SE Banshee |

We have 4 bikes entering the race they all will comply with MA rules we are quite happy to have them pulled down after the races because its only fair that everyone plays by the same rules.
I have no problem in pulling my engines down as long as the same rules apply for everyone.
This is why we are putting together a program of Great riders and M.A complied bikes.
We are running a 498cc Banshee 09 YFZ 450 EFI,06 yfz 450 & 734cc Raptor all running 98 octane pump gas.
I already am expecting for our bikes to be protested which does not worry me at all. _________________ FOUR STROKE WARS CHAMPIONS USA 2009

| Hey Rootsy bring the biggest baddest quads you build and run them there's a $20 trophy on the line and I don't think any other quad rider is that pathetic to protest at an event like this. They might even start a third class stock, modified and ridiculously modified. I know the crowd would love to see your awsome rigs and it will get people talking and raise the profile of the sport. The beach drags are one of the best race meets with awsome atmosphere on the Queensland calender. So please bring the baddest quads you have. |
