one of my dads mates from work has a private flat track out back of his house as he used to race forumla 500 speedway as australian champ (tony Prior) and he keeps the flat track to still have a drive on and they also run speedway bikes and side cars round there.
were organising a day out there soon and i should be ab;e to take a few keen flat trackers along |

talking to the MXcentral guy today, currently they don't let quads on the flat track circuit due to the aggressive tyres ripping the "profanity removed" out of the track.
I convinced him that if i find suitable tyres like the 2 wheeler guys use, he will consider letting me on to trial track wear.
anyone have any info on suitable speedway tyres like those chocolate blocks looking tyres? |

yer ive got a set of veloce motard tyres that are great for speedway use i havent used the fronts yet but i just put the motards on the back and kept the stock knobbys on the front heaps different getting used to but is super fun and i dont think they would wear and tear the track to bad
ive got a set we can take out there and test with |

i think around hear the veloce tyres will suit fine i ride dirt near my house on them just stuffing around and from the tracks round here like singleton and mx central at the terrace our surfaces would suit them tyres
i guess well find out soon enough when we give them a test at one of the local tracks |

| quads raced a few years ago at barleigh speedway and turftamers were the go. also hmcc accepted them as they caused minimal damage to the track. cant see you having any probs if you turn up with turfies. |

They decided to come up with " QUADS RUIN THE TRACK" theory and wont let us run anymore.
I 'm pretty sure the damge came from Trish's quad flipping down the straight |

MXcentral are a bunch of cocks,
First off they flat out refused to race quads due to the tyres ripping the "profanity removed" out of the track.
I made a proposal to Todd to buy suitable speedway/motard tyres if they would let me trial the tyres on the track with the ultimate aim of gaining enough interest to start a small quad championship in the near future.
After multiple calls and messages they (Mxcentral hierarchy) finally came to the decision that it was not in the best interest of the track and the patrons.
Basically they don't give a stuff about us quad riders, and people wonder why places like this go broke when they are not willing for change.
"profanity removed" em i'd rather spend the extra fuel money and drive to Singo |
