Just spent the last 4 days up at stockton. Every single day there was a 4x4 stuck in the sand on the ATV entry/exit track, with no way to get around them, which then results in either sitting there or using the 4x4 entry/exit. Then when you are sitting there they expect you to come up with some sort of solution to get them out, not able to do anything on a quad. Do these 4x4 drivers not have the brain capacity or the education to be able to read the signs that are clearly visable that say no 4x4 access or is it maybe their 4x4's are too high off the ground & they can't see the bloody signs. I did help the first couple when I got there, but lost my mind with all the others. Even dragged one bloke back to the sign that read NO 4X4 ACCESS, he didn't believe there was such a sign there. This is not a personal thing against 4x4's, just the ignorant ones.

Maybe make contact with the relevant authorities and notify them of the problem , so maybe they can do some thing about it

80% of why I like Stockton is watching 4X4's get bogged!

It's always fun if they leave just enough room for you to get around....once around.....ROOST THEM!!!!

LOL. I did that once. The idiot hit me and my mate and then got bogged. He was letting his tyre pressures down when i did it. Didn't look back but had a good chuckle to myself.

I do have a 09 Raptor 700. The digital read out only shows you the time, speedo & 3 odemeter readings. Would be good if it had a tacho on it. Plenty of grunt for me at the moment. Looked at buying the 350 but walked out with the 700. The salesman convinced me I would most likely be back within 12 months if I bought the 350 looking for more.

Raptor 350

I am going to buy a 4x4 myself shortly, but I will not be one of the dumbassess that try to go via the ATV access. If roosting them is the solution then maybe should set my quad up with sum big ass drag paddles and just ride past them on the access all day when they are bog. They would soon end up being a table top for us LOL

Yer, its fun to go around them while they`re getting pi$$ed of trying to get unstuck. Your salesman did the right thing by you. It saved you money in the long run also. I have my 350 and now need more. cheers

Mate,it works both ways.
I drive my 4wd on the beach to take the bikes off(and I don't use ATV access)
Last month I weas driving back of the beach, when I saw quad doing loops around some bush, near the 4wd access road.
Having to climb a hill,I had to get some speed and used the horn to notify quad rider.
He still came flying down the hill stright at me.
I had to back off and swerve not to hit him, lost momentum and couldn't make it to the top.
Unhook trailer, turn around, turn the trailer around drive down the hill and start all over again.
Lost half an hour, becouse of the dumb ass who disappeared.
We all know that he even shouldn't have been there.

too rite ive gota dualcab hilux which i used thousands of times pulling dumb ass city 4wdrivers (sorry to those of u that live in the city and do know how to lock it in lowrange).

one time i drove all the way down a beach in downsouth wa in 2wd with 16psi in my 33'' tyres no problems (and yes it was reasonably soft) bout 2hrs worth got to the 4wd access and here was this dude who wanted to take his young bloke 4wd/fishin weekend from perth no worrys bout that but the fact was he was on his skid plates towing a camper trailer behind a discovery that had a wider wheel track than the track itself so he was fightin all the way as well as having highway pressures still in the 4by and trailer he had carpet, floor mats a tool roll all sorts jammed under it tryin to get it out but again no idea he hadnt even dug out his wheels, tool.

Feeling sorry for his young bloke i pulled up in front dropped the mighty lux in low range and skull dragged its arse out. After i towed him out he was goin on and on about all this crap he had on it things like hill descent control, traction control, locking centre all the mumbo jumbo they come out with these days so i turned around and told him yet a scabby old hilux(sorry old girl) pulled u out less than 100m from the access ramp

these are the sort of tools that need to learn how drive and negotiate the off road enviroment.

Picture must have been taken pre 2004 cause I had my Grizzly out there. Came across it seconds after it happened. Driver was injured and needed to be airlifted out with the Westpac chopper. Do remember the vehicle prior doing donuts, etc.....

a few years ago i was at mungo and went onto the beach lookin for a wave. . i drove past this dude who was bogged to the sills and i askd him if he needed a hand. He says NO .. we re ok . so fine, i head south for a surf. After 2 hours and some awsome surf i headed back only to find OLD MATE still sittin there. I pulled over AGAIN and askd , do you need a tow outand he still replied no we,re alright... my guess was he didnt want his brand new nissan getting pulled off the beach by an old BUT very capable hilux.... TOO much pride OR stupidity... mabe both !!!
BUT WAIT THERE,S MORE... igot to the beach exit and there was a bloke there bogged. so without asking i just pulled around him and shakled up the snatchy. pulled him UP the hill and off the beach. To say he was happy was an understatement. THOUGH i was supprised when he says , I DIDNT THINK THAT [ MY HILUX ] COULD PULL A $60.000 MITSUBISHI 4WD THE WAY IT DID !!! I repeatedly had to tell him it had a stock motor , no turbo, it all comes down to your tyres and psi.
Hrm Hrm Hrm Confused Confused Confused
