 |
|
Ive got a yfz 450 05 mod with a blown motor. i want to turn it into a beast and was wondering what sort if insainly fast motor would be not to hard to fit into my frame.. was thinking a 2 cylinder 650 road bike engine or a gsxr 600. any advice would be much appreciated. _________________ Go hard, Go high cause thats where the thrill is at! |

I don't know road bikes real well, but someone mentioned an Aprillia 700 once.
That could be cool... MA legal _________________ Can-Am X Team

for a simple install you will want a small engine.
any of the big 1000cc stuff will require a hell of a lot of hours work and basically chopping the yfz frame into little pices and starting again.
try and find a big single like a xr650 or a te610 etc motor that will have heaps of grunt yet small in size.
pm me if you want any help. |

thanks everyone for your advice. looking in some auctions and web sites for a motor that will be easy to fit. either twin 600 or 650 or a big single bore dirt bike engine. _________________ Go hard, Go high cause thats where the thrill is at! |

not really that hard to find, but wouldnt be a very good motor for a quad anyway, would vibrate too much.
the best motor to put in it would be a late model LT500 quadzilla engine.
bit hard to find but would be sweet as. _________________ 2002 SE Banshee |
