After a tree jumped out and deliberate attacked the front wheel on my Raptor 700 I came to an abrupt halt with my front wheels pointing straight and my bars at a 15 degree angle. I rode home fearing the worst and after checking it out found nothing bent and the stem was straight so I dropped the splined bracket that holds the tie rods to the stem (nothing damaged on the spline) and bought everything back into line. No dramas took the her for a ride and no problems. My questions are
1. Has this happened to any one else
2. Is it possible to twist the steering stem along its lenght
3. any ideas

cheers
Pete

Hey Pete, have seen a similar thing happen on a YFZ. could be twisted along the length of it but there would be some pretty obvious marks on the surface of the stem if it has.
