I am currently a shattered man . How can these people can it a TE450 . As most of you know Husqvarna is the G.O.A.T of the dirtbike world and I had pleasure of riding them..... I currently shoving big needles into my voodoo quad bike cushion with Hyosung in black texture on it. May there oil go sticky and there wheels fall off and the air box clog up with pink feathers from all the Gays who ride them.
Now Doorslammer how do i do that fine print Mate

someone's not happy with good reason
now to do the small print what you got to do is type what you want, highlight it, then up the top under the subject there is a drop down bar called font size. select what size and bingo _________________ 01 Banshee

Go the Huskies.....
I'm a proud 08 Husky TE450 owner - after just upgrading from an 04 TE450, both great bikes...
But also remember that Husky make a WR250 (had one of those at one stage too) --- mmm I thought a WR was a yamaha????? |

I may need a history lesson but I think the first CR was built by Husky in 68 and the first WR was built by Husky in 74. The first of the modern 4 stroke was built by Husky/Husaberg/Ktm in around 86 and was called TE 510 its claimed yamaha built the modern 4 stroke but Jacky Martins won the 500cc world championship on TC 610 which had a 490 4 stroke in it . Beating all the 2 strokes thats when the love affair started. Theres currently 2 Huskies in my garage.
Can't wait till the new husky Quad in late 2009

| Mate I have a 06 TC 510 and a 07 TE 510 with motard wheels. We ran a TE 510 at finke with the TC motor . Unfortunately my young apprentice fell 30 kms out of finke and couldn't get it to fire so he DNF . Paul Fenny Group supplied bike . 08 is there best yet if they build their quads with the same passion it will be a winner. |

And here I was thinking my next quad would be a KTM.
That Husky is as cool as they come - I gotta get me one of those!
Who makes Huskys these days? I lost track in the Cagiva days (or does Cagiva still make them?) |

BMW now own Husky sad but True BMW are pouring heaps of money in developing new kids bike for release sept 2009 and our quad is after that. I expect the production prototype is already built but hasn't been leaked yet.
Paul Fenny he has sat on the quad on his last trip which was just before finke.
I have asked him to make me a centennial replica quad 05 model the one that only 92kg and was a 510.
There new 250 motor only weights 22 kg and 38hp would like a 250 raptor keep up with that. |

Is that really a sad thing? The best Range Rover ever made (IMHO) was designed while BMW owned Range Rover - if they can do a similar job with a quad that would make me happy.
So I take it the quad in the photo above was made while BMW owned Husky? It looks great - it would look good behind a Range Rover designed by BMW! |

The Husky quad in the photo isn't a husky at all. They were custom made by a company in Holland (I think) and could be ordered with a Husky, KTM or VOR engine. They were made way before the Husky/BMW deal was even considered.
The BMW/Husky deal is all to do with BMW having access to Husky's small 4st design and manufacture technology. Remember BMW bikes mostly run ROTAX engines.
BMW have a road only prototype quad and I believe Husky are working on their own quad of their own design.

sorry figure of speech that quad in the photo was made by a German frame builder. they also make a 990 ktm Duke quad awesome bit of gear.
The husky quad is red and white with a new frame and swing arm . I been told is in two pieces for a extra smooth ride . hard to explain |

Pete this Idea was used in pick ups on hay balers in the mid 90s . I seen a prototype in the krone factory Germany in early 2000 Haven't seen in production. The main Idea was the farmer would never check his chain so this Idea had the two chains as a constant. added bonus was the initial impact of a bump was more soaked up by the first shock. sort of like a torsion bar axle on a trailer but running longways with the quad sort of like the fast flex idea. as like the new honda the chain would run to the rear swing arm in the centre therefore not needing the rear bearing carrier. this system would reduce weight , reduce maintainance and better ride and chains last longer for they enclosed in a case and ajusted like a two wheeler .
I will try and find some pics |
