My preference is the Can Am Outty 800, the reason for this being I can go anywhere any-time, with the chance of getting caught in the mud is very minimal.

G'Day Hammer, ithink u might get a few bias replys, so heres mine, POLARIS cause ive got one, but i also reckon all the leading brands are that close [gota b 2 stay in th race] that it comes down to personal pref and maybe local dealer backup...parts , service etc

Im with bushpig on this 1. i own a trx450r but have ridden a LT400, KFX700, YFZ450, warrior 350, banshee & they r all pretty good bikes but its all about preference as bushpig said. I love the 450r, has never missed a beat & i have no complaints since i bought it new, it also doesnt mind mods either.

I learnt to ride quads on a warrior. Was a great quad to start on until the swigarm broke. Then got on a 400EX which was great to improve skills on and now I'm on a YFZ. Have ridden a TRX450 but didn't feel comfortable on it. The YFZ seems to have a more comfortable seating and handlebar position.

My ultimate Quad would have to be the Arctic cat thundercat 1000 cc 4wd quad built in the good old Usa even cheaper than the can am , they have been making snowmobiles for years

I tend to agree with you Grizzly, but the only reason I didn't buy one was. There isn't to many dealers that I know of over here. That's why I went for the Outty 800 Max XT.

Rosco i spoke to the importers and they have not got a problem where you get them fixed , if you have not got a dealer close by they will allow you to take it to your nearest motorbike shop and they will pay for any repairs ,, , and they are willing to put that in writing ,, a nice silver colour i have been really doing my homework and they have some great potential.

From the talk on the us forums they are good for about 78 mile an hour with plenty of grunt all through the range with good torque

yeah bushpig I was looking for bias replys - Yamaha is mine & yeah i think all brands have now got good product but Yamaha didn't run from the lawyers in the 90's and keep making sports quads blaster - banshee - warrior that made others step up to the market. for my use they had the best quad out at the time i bought next time it might be different.

Yeah Grizzly I've only had mine up to 45mph at the moment, so I can't wait till I break it in a bit more to see what it's full potential is. Hey by the way I didn't no that the Cat came as a 2-up until I seen the site.

Yeah sure does ,, i just received all the brochures from the Australian distributor today , and wow the accesories these guys make for the product even leave Polaris for dead , mini plows snow ploughs and to many to mention , even half fairings for the full range , and check out the new utv the Prowler , that will kick most side by side proverbial butt.

Whatcha gunna do with a snowplow in Hamilton, youre not in hamilton NZ!! lol

You gunna grade ditches for the council?? Laughing Laughing

I luv the 6 fuel concept its amazing what technologies have been developed under army tenders.

Litre class quads, they are coming to a store near you!! Soon!

I wanted to build one this year coz i thought I found a KTM990 engine (wrong) but then found I couldnt even race it in Finke. What the? Where is Open class?

I think Yogie doesnt like the Yellow Can am cause they clash with his Pink helmet!! Razz Razz
