Funny u should ask that ..

I got a post in buy and sell.. wanting to get hold of peoples a-arms..
so i can make up some jigs to make my own... then i'll try +2 and all that stuff..

I'm 1st just looking @ making std ones with changable tie rods..

what kind of quad u got?
If you have some old a-arms i could try and build u a set..

Or just give me a bell and we can hook up 4 a ride...

Hay Lez.
I'm riding an 01 Raptor with standed A-arms but with YZF 450 shocks. The top arms look to be alloy and the bottom are steel. I'll make the top out of steel as well. What sort of ball joints do you think will work?

Josh.

For ball-joints you can go to your local Fulcrum Suspension or any of those sort of stores and you just have to find a car balljoint (they are actually car tie rod ends) with a taper which matches your stock ball joint to go into your spindles. On my "Custom" a arms i think my bottom ball joints are from a VW but my top ball joints are from USA.
Hope that helps. Very Happy

Ive made a few sets over the years you can get ball joints from super cheap auto , put your stock a-arm on the bench trace around it remove the a-arm and go to work adding 2 inches to the ball joint end (not to throw out shocks mounting points) bend up some tube mild steel or chromoly (expensive) can use an oxy if you do not HAVE a a good bender .when it fits perfectly over you drawing tig weld it togther (if you use aluminium you must temper it after welding oh and use 6000 series alloy HOPE THIS HELPS
