Hey guys,

I am very new to the sports quad world. I have purchased an outlaw 525, and want some advice on what i should do from here. Of course i am looking at the K&N replacement filter, and maybe and outerwears filter lid made by EHS racing. Not too sure what i should do with the exhaust side of things. Also, what the heck do Nerf bars do? im guessing they stop your legs from getting stuck under the pegs if you come a cropper.. what else would you suggest on the safety side of things?

Cheers,

Kris

G'day mate I just live up the road from you, well about
1.5 hours up lol. Do you know the southern highlands?

Anyway as for safety definatly invest in a set of nefrs
as the will at somestage save a broken foot or ankle
and also maybe a laynard killswitch. This kills the engine
in the event of an accident so your pride and joy won't keep
going and hit either you or a tree Hrm

Anyway man we should maybe connect and go for a
ride in the new year.

Cheers,
Riz

The most important thing to do is RIDE.
Don't sit it in the shed & look at it.
Get out & ride it.

most common mods are air filter and a slip on and jetting/re-mapping to suit.

this will give you a good overall boost in power for relativly minimal outlay.

as for the nerfs there 2 primary purposes is like you said stop you from getting your feet caught under the rear wheels if you slip from the pegs (it happens)

and if you plan on racing, to some degree they stop other racers wheels from getting in that gap between your front and rear wheels, and believe me if/when it happens it doesnt look pretty.

hope this helps mate
