Can anyone tell me if there is any quad musters in Australia? What I'm talking about is a event that quad riders australia wide can travel to and socialise, ride, have some fun and of course enjoy a beer or 7. My old road bike club in QLD used to attend them, 4 days of riding/parting etc etc.

I've read posts on here where a few interstate guys hook up from time to time. I'm going to do a riding holiday next year some time.

Thinking somewhere like Black duck QLD. Bit of a drive from NT but reckon a event like this once a year would be great to attend.

If something like this already exists, awsome. If not I hope I have planted a seed. Lets throw some ideas around and see what we can come up with.

Maybe you mean something like this
http://www.atvjam.com/
Would be great except almost no-one would put their hand up to make it happen. We spoke of this years ago, Stockton would be a good place but somewhere with loamy trails would also be good. Binnacrombi perhaps.
Dam hard to turn an ATV dream into reality, best of luck though, I'd go.

yeah something along those lines. If some interest is generated out of this forum, I'd been keen to chat more indepth with people bout making it happen.

I dont know if it would be anything huge like that one. But things listed below are achievable.

Dates
Place
Shirts
Events
I'm sure if enough interest was generated some dealers may rock up with gear ie. Mini expo.
Swap meet
Entertainment

Lets just wait and see what others think bout it all.

sounds like a wicked idea, know i would be interested as long as it doesnt interfer with work to much...

like your attitude, which is waht we are gonna need if we want the quad scene to explode in oz..
it would of been hard in the states to start of with, but look @ them now..
I'm sure there's people in this industrie that would know people who could talk/scratch some back backs to work something out...

nationals are good..
But i think he's talking more of recreational then comp' wise..
more of a riding with mates weekend.sort of theme!!
my 2c worth...

Maybe it could be run like the dbw once yearly get-togethers, and move it around the states. First place, mind you I've never been, could be Sandfest over in SA...

Black Duck has what they call an annual muster around December each year and alot of bikes and quads turn up. Problem is it gets crowded and too dusty but is still alot of fun. They usually put on bands, freestyle shows and anything associated with bikes really.

I like the idea of moving it from place to place each year.

Is the one in December at back duck mainly for 2 wheelers, and quads just tag along?

I dont really mind who I ride/party with as long as they are open minded and not anti quad. Would prefer a event quad focused were 2 wheelers tag along.

The majority of riders at black ducks muster are bikes but that doesn't mean quad riders can't enjoy themselves, most of the bike riders have mutual respect for quad riders. It's usually the hard core or try hard MX racers that dislike the quads, but they're just jealous cause we're having more fun.
If you go to www.blackduckvalley.com they usually post up any demo weekends they're planning. fmxaustralia.com also promotes black duck events and you'll usually find more info there.

Were you by any chance racing at the bikes under lights meet at Darwin last year?

Port Gawler off road park near adelaide would work well as anyone can come for a ride. You don't need an ma licence.

Well making it happen is going to be the hard part. Sounds like at least a few people are keen for this to happen. I'll start a new thread will a broad range of questions that people can email to me with their preferences. Put them all together and wack them on to discuss.

Cool. I know a few guys up there mostly in Darwin. Dennis and Doug Saunders have a bit to do with quads there if you know of them.
A mate of mine owns the live export feedmill in Katherine (Joe Bakalian) last i talked to him he was wanting to get into the quad scene aswell.

Well talk to him again if you can JB, at the moment here in Katherine we need as many quads as we can out there, at least to keep events running for us.......

Oh yeah, I'm keen on the muster noddy, lemme know if you need a hand with anything..
