Does anybody out there know of anyway to reduce thumb fatigue? I ride a 04 YFZ 450. I've been riding for 3 mthns. I do MotoX, Scrub and Enduro 2-3 times a week and still no change.
Any advise will be much appreciated.

Twist throttle here too.
or try getting an 04/05 Honda thumb throttle. heaps lighter than the Yam and a better shape. You can also change the erturn spring in the carb for one out of an 04 CRF450 which is lighter than the one used in the Yam YFZ/YZ/WR carbs. _________________

Thanks heaps for the suggestions, I have tried changing the angle of the throttle but had no joy. Will try the return spring or throttle change. If no luck I guess I'll just have to change over to twist or take some harden up pills.
Thanks again for the advise.

get a honda trx450 throttle housing with a trx 90 lever
i tried the spring mod and it still hurt afterwards
also if you land heavy from a jump the throttle slide will jump and cause it to splutter because the spring tension is not enough to hold the slide down |

I had the same problem on my yfz, all i did was remove the spring in the thumb housing, made it a little lighter. |

Honda 90 thumb throttle has a better leverage on a Yamaha,I tried it and it worked very well ! (used no spring in the thumb throttle assembly)

| You lot should try riding a Banshee with twin 39PWK's. Riders who wanted a turn only lasted about 30 seconds. Hey Len, don't I even get a "sometimes" anymore? You don't have to be treated badly with me you know. I will look after you! |
