South coast sand blasters made it silver, then lonsdale powdercoaters zinc baked it then put on the platnum onyx pearl, or what ever the colours called. top job and very tuff to scatch or chip. an fast turn around.
4 hrs to sand blast, and a day to powdercoat.
and the exhaust ceramic coating works a treat. and looks good as well

A mate of mine knows Vic.
im not sure whats happening yet, i didnt build it for ponde, yet everyone reckons thats all its useful for. i beg to differ. yesterday i was running around on Flat track down at victa with 3 non stock banshee's and one of them was worth more then twice my bike, and they didnt stand a chance. whithin 5 laps i was already lapping them. I was very impressed with how it handled, and certainly isnt a weakness as everyone thought when i started building it. several people commented that it would be to heavy and slow thru corners and tight stuff, but its the opposite. heaps of torque then endless wheelspin gets you moving real quick. and running the +2 arms and the +4 axle, combined with a low centre of gravity = 1 kick ass bike.
I will try and organise a better camera set up.

well done fella.
you will never look back i can assure you.
i looked at the hyabussa engine before deciding on the zx10r,
its a fair bit taller and wider then the zx10 but still do able.
the first tip i can give you is get a 9 inch and chop your bike into 3 bits.
chop the front end off just behind the a arm supports then chop the back off just in front of the swingarm, then the bit left in the middle thro it over your neighbours fence.
then start a fresh with fabricating the middle section.
i used all the same diameter pipe as the standard frame but a lot heavy gauge steel. the standard frame is only 2mm wall and my new frame is closer to 5mm.
Pm me if you want any more detailed pics of anything.

thanks dangerman
my motor should turn up this week i also have a 450 roller purchased of quad.
i see you did not run the 530 chain.
how does the gearing feel??? most of the conversions I have done in the past have required a very large rear sprocket ,due to the smaller wheels on a quad .
It is going to be a very difficult conversion due to the very small frame of the 450,a raptor 700 or bombardier would have been better ,but I want a bike that handles great,I too am worried about the extra weight on the front wheels ,but as you said I hope it to be minimal.

ive done a 520 chain conversion on mine as all the guys that race zx10's etc proffesionally run the 520 cause it uses less horsepower to spin yet its still strong enough.
my gearing is 14 / 38
i tried 17 / 52 and 14 / 52 but it was revving and not moving.
these engines have rediculus amounts of torque, so make the most of it.
my gearing is near spot on running 20 inch rears.
first gears not to tall and 6th gear is fast enough for around 230kmh.
what model bussa engine you found?
and how many kays, and does it come with everything? wiring etc?
good luck fella, and enjoy the build as much as the final product.
cheers
Darren

Hey Dangerman
Give us a yell on this site if you are taking it out a Victor Flat track again.

Ashenery
Is a ZX10 not enough dude.
From the start it looked liek Dangerman was on a good thing and I'm sure everyone (even dangerman) would not have put a dollar on it handling as good as the 450.
If it does thats great... but I would think getting these things right would come down to 10mm here or there.
If dangerman has done it and done it well, check his out have a ride, and do the same with all the second time round improvements that I'm sure Dangerman could recommend.
The bussa 1300 could be a bit more of a truck.
But then again if it does work... you could get one of those aftermarket turbo kits.

All bloody good stuff fellas.
10 out of 10.
