How do manufactures measure their advertised horse power?

Is 54HP right for a new Brute force?

Polaris 850 has advertised 77HP ?

Can am 1000 advertised 82 HP?

HMMMM ... where do these numbers come from Wheel or crank?

ANY ONE shed some light on this please?

Can-Am is definitely at the crankshaft.
It's done on an engine dyno, not even in the Quad.

I'm pretty sure Polaris is the same.

So neither are measured after the CVT, or at the wheels.
