 |

Hi All
It seems there have been a few more people interested in racing quads again in 2013! The Hervey Bay club has been extremely supportive of quads over the last 5 to 10 years. Unfortunately over the past few, numbers have depleted. It would be great to see some new (and returning) faces back to the club.
The club's website is here:
http://hbmx.freewebhosts.com.au/
The remaining dates are as follows:
2013 Race Dates
7th July 2013 club day
Sun. 28th July MX Nationals
Sun 11th August Practice
Sat. 24th August 2013 come & try
25th August 2013 club day
22nd September 2013 club day
13th October 2013 club day
3rd November 2013 come & try + Practice day
17th November 2013 club day
8th December 2013 club day + break up day

| The Next club day is next Sunday, 7th of July. I understand it is the same date that there is a ride day on at QMP. But this is a club that has supported quads for 10 years and we as quad riders need to show the appreciation for the clubs support. |

Well unfortunately we only had two quads turn up yesterday, which is no great surprise. However, John (Dingo) and I had a great day and had a lot of fun.
BUT, there is a big negative that has come out of the day. The president has asked that we get more numbers to the club day's, otherwise they are considering permanently removing us from the race order!
Hervey Bay has actively supported quads for probably nearly 10 years. I have been a part of the club for nearly 6 years. The president stated yesterday "we have had people who come to the club days to watch ask where the quads are. We as a club, and they as spectators want to see you racing. However, we cannot keep the grace period open forever."
Please, if you are able to attend the next club day (25th of August) please make the effort. I know it is the week before the quad class at MX Nationals and two weeks before the ATV Nationals. However, it is an excellent opportunity to get some sand riding in before Coolum.
Here is a short video of John and I having some fun! (Make sure you watch in HD)

I would like to thank everyone for making the effort to come and support the Hervey Bay Mx club. We had 9 quads there yesterday! We haven't seen that in years. The club and spectators were thrilled with our turnout and the races.
Special thanks to Myles Dillon for making the 800km journey. Myles was also lucky to walk away from a pretty spectacular holeshot crash.

Unfortunately the day did not go to plan for David Hood who had a little mishap and has broken his collar bone. Also a special thanks to Kayleen Lovett for fulfilling her promise and riding today
Another unfortunate event was the unsuccessful return to ATV Motocross racing for China. His bike decided he just wasn't ready to get back out there.
Thanks again everybody for support the club, I know myself, and the club, greatly appreciated the day.
Overall results for the day went:
1 Josh D1ck
2 Craig Blackburn
2 John Lovett (however, there has been an unofficial protest, as Jake Hawes (or Uddy) believe he finished better )
Thanks to everyone!
Myles Dillon
David Hood
Liam Hood
John Lovett
Kayleen Lovett
Craig Blackburn
Jake Hawes (Uddy)
Andrew (China) Ledingham
The club should hopefully have some photos go up in the next few days. If anyone took photos on the day, it would be great to post them up |

Well. Hervey Bay held a practice day over the weekend. I was astonished to see Justin back out having a ride on his KFX450r. We got 3 practices and had a heap of fun.
The club does have a club day in two weeks time. Any chance of getting numbers to it? But, if they don't get rain, it won't go ahead. It is just too dry around here at the moment.
Everyone jump on their Facebook page, give it a Like and take a look at the photos.
