I have a slight issue with clutch pulled in lever and it stays in and cable slack stil won't let gear change occur has the rivets let go ????any help appreciated thanks

I don't reckon there would be too many 08's around that have not had the 09 onward upgrade.
If the rivets are loose, the first characteristic is a rattling sound particularly evident at idle and slight throttle.

Just for reference , in this instance the plunger pin located in the alloy yoke had worked loose resulting in stripping internal thread of yoke. A good thing to check occasionally. Thanks to Daniel at southeast marine for fantastic service over the phone and quick delivery of parts
