Well after months of searching and researching I have finally got what I was looking for
There were plenty for sale but they were all a little compromise of what I wanted so I had one built to my basic design with a few tips and ideas stolen along the way
What I ended up doing went something like this 45mm axles leaf springs, Landcruiser wheels with either Mud terrains or All terrains depends on what I want to run on the car as they are compatible
Tray measures 4200 x 2100 which leaves 250 x 1120 x 4200 void under that will soon house the mother of all trundle trays but it will only slide out 2500mm thats the section that will be used most and the 1700mm part at the front will hold spares and parts maxtrax and whatever else we don't need to access easily
When we camp as a family we use 2 x Oztent RV5 tents with the deluxe walls and the awning connector
We have stretcher beds with thin foam mattresses and the kids sleep on self inflating mattresses so all these fit perfectly under the tray which frees up the back of the car for the 140l Evakool fridge (Custom made) but also leaves the roof racks free which before was chocker block
there are two 50l water tanks in front of the wheels and two rope boxes behind
What is on the front of the trailer is my camp kitchen that I take from our caravan so it has two uses it has a water pump on one side and a gas ring cut into the other that has a 2 kilo bottle screwed to the underside there is also enough room to store another two kilo bottle beside it or on the other side as I use to take another gas powered bbq. there is a big void under the middle as on the van there is two 9 kilo bottles that this sits over but there is still room for a 2400 EF yammy gene but we normally camp 12 volt only.
Still to come are somewhere to store my Whipps Ramps so they are readily accessible a tray near the front corners under the tray to mount one or two batteries they will go back towards the water tanks to be used as more storage, two spare wheel winches one at the front and one at the back a small floor on the "A" frame to hold two jerrys in between the camp kitchen and other bulky stuff like camp ovens and kitchen stuff.
Ill wire some anderson plugs down the back and middle on both sides might even chuck some ciggy sockets in as well the kids are always looking to charge something
I will put in 3 x motorcycle multi fit wheel chocks from super cheap to tie down the kids motor bikes and will need something to help tie down the quad like some Unistrut bolted to the deck with movable eye bolts to help with the multitude of set ups we sometimes have

the welder in the background is Adam he's also got a tandem trailer for sale on this site

Thanks guys
Adam is giving it a black paint job in a week or so after we sort out what else I want to weld onto the frame
When its all dismantled I will build the trundle tray out of aluminium unistrut and rollers using aluminium sheet for the drawer to try and keep the weight down and Ill do the 12v wiring tucked up under the tray while the chequer ally floor is off
More pics soon

Cost were along these lines
$2000 Alko axles, springs, hitch with handbrake, jockey wheel
$1500 approx for Welding and steel to date
$900 water tanks and rope boxes
$800 rims (had them at home anyway)
$1400 Tyres BF Muddies got them on car now BF All terrains on trailer only 6 months old (swap them on car anyway)
$600 3mm Chequer plate for deck
$300 led tail lights
just looking back I dont think I want to add all that up:-(
Very happy with the end result though tows well plenty of storage built tough can carry three full size quads or a small car.
