again with the stupidity... training is the answer not roll bars.... learn how to ride, wear a helmet, dont put the quad in a postiton where it can roll onto you, dont let kids under 16 ride 300kg+ utility quads... the list is endless _________________

I agree, but once again the public decides to blame the manufacturer rather than their kids or own stupidity _________________ Yamaha '07 Raptor 700r SE

In the case of the 12 year old, as tragic as it was, it was totally preventable.
If Bill Shorten bothered to look, he would see that the manufacturers warn ATV owners about the dangers to prevent this kind of thing….
The machines come with bloody big labels stating that serious injury or death may occur.
The machines come with a key! This is the big one! Take the keys out so kids can't use the quad! COME ON PEOPLE.
The machines come with bloody big labels stating "not to be operated by children under the age of 16.
The machines come with bloody big labels stating helmets and protective gear must be worn at all times. (something a lot of farmers think doesn't apply to them)
In the case of farm quads it should be part of OH&S that under 16 can not use them. _________________ Cheers,

yeah, I work with a bandsaw every day and it's not no safety warnings on it but still i don't see if i can catch the blade while it's running
once it goes public like this all hell breaks loose and all common sense goes out the window, you should never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups _________________ Yamaha '07 Raptor 700r SE

as has been stated before many times, common sense aint that common when it comes to stuff like this...
check out this shining example of ATV safety on the front page of an ATV Manufactuers website www.symatv.com.au
and it gets better, check out their videos page, some proper hillbilly riding goign on there, no helmet and all http://www.symatv.com.au/page0/page0.html
great advertising for the quad community, any wonder these other "profanity removed" heads want stricter safety standards.... _________________

Proudly supported by the manufacturer of the Placebo Bar. _________________ Remember. We elect politicians, but we have to deal with bureaucracy.

1. I hate the term "quad bikes". Makes no sense and is contradictory.
2. Helmet is mandatory. Especially for my kids and even more so for someone else's kids.
3. Why is it ok for kids to fall off horses and get seriously hurt? Nobody ever talks about that.
4. A farm is a place of business. The owner should be made accountable just like if somebody else that owns a business and kills a worker due to failing to provide a safe workplace.
5. Riding in the dark is probably also a contributing factor. |

Yeah it its made of a lighter round aluminium structure, it also happens to have a sticker that says PAL on the side of it. _________________ "If in doubt go flat out"
