hey,
im doing this on behalf of my father he's been having so bike troubles..
the bike wont idle properly even when the idle screw is wound right up.
it wont start once its hot unless you push start it.
and the bike idles high for a second or too then drops back to normal
2003 ltz400 (470)
mods.
+4mm genuine stroker crank
+4mm cylinder works big bore kit
dyna tek CDI
k&n air filter
39mm sparks fcr carb
hot cams stage 1
any input would be great, the stroker, big bore, fcr, hotcams are all new mods only just put in and lasted 2 rides and now its playing up

I'm going to go with and air leak that has let dust in and closed up the inlet valves, that is likely why it is hard to start and the air leak would cause and erratic idle

thanks guys i have to get to the bottom of this
i checked the valve clearences
intake left - 0.08mm
intake right - 0.10mm
exhaust left - 0.25mm
exhaust left - 0.18mm

all good guys the key way snapped behind the flywheel so it threw the timing and the electrics out
