I had a chat this afternoon with Neil from 'The Springs 4x4 park' today and after the weekends Extreme Winch challenge competition I asked him about RZR's riding in his park socially... With the competition David Metcalfe's insurance covers the drivers. After discussing rollcages, seatbelts etc being an advantage of motorbikes an ATV's which he brought up that his insurance company won't cover.
His response was if your RZR has conditional rego & a dune flag and there is more than one RZR riding (group of 2 or more) he doesn't see it being a problem using his park. Also speeding is not allowed on the trails in case you run into a bullbar of a full size rig. Make sure if you go to double check with Neil nothng has changed. I am no way associated with the park, I've only been wheelin there in a full size rig and I enjoyed the trails.....
One other thing, Neil was talking to David Metcalfe on the weekend and he is thinking of having a SxS event only at Manar Park at some stage....Yet to be confirmed at this stage!

Manar is awsome plus theres no speed limit on the trails.
When you say 'sxs event only' does this mean us single seat guys are not invited to the sxs event at manar or would the event not be suited to us?
There are 5 of us with single seat redline revolts that ride manar on a regular basis. would be great to run with you sxs fella's, even if its just a social gathering !

Mick, at this stage it's just a rumor until you here it from David, then the question can be asked about the single seaters. You'll just have to wait until David talks to Dave at Manar Park which I don't think has even happened yet. But if it goes ahead it sounds very promising....

Hope you guys put it to them for a regular series depending on the turn out for the fun day if it gets up.
SXS racing needs regular track meets. Good luck guys and if it gets up let me know in case I want to wander from afar!! lol

I'm hopefully going to be riding my ATV next weekend at Manar Park, so I'll have a chat with Dave (the park owner) to see what he thinks...but ultimately it will be David Metcalfe's decision.

Ok, well after visiting Manar Park I had the chat with the owner Dave and he's had a short phone conversation with Dave Metcalf but nothing has been decided yet, they are going to meet up to discuss more. So I guess now it's just a waiting game...

Ok QLD riders or even interstate visitors, as you read above I asked The Springs 4x4 park about using SxS's in there park, what I didn't tell you was that I also asked Scenic Rim 4x4 park too but at that stage I didn't have any news or feedback, well I got a reply email.

Sorry it has taken so long to get back to you.
Our insurance broker has just emailed us to say the car not the bike or quad would be allowed to enter our park.
You will be required to sign the indemnity forms and when guys have unregistered cars we suggest they make sure they have all their own relevant insurances third party and property etc
