Interested in gauging peoples opinions on the new rule changes that directly affect the 200-300 class.
Being able to fit a better performing engine into a current model quad to comply with the current cc capacity of the class only benefits the racers and brings into line the hp capacity of the current quads with new apex250f .
If all quads have similar hp then the riders skills is what wins a race not who has the most power.

New technology changes the game all the time too.
Once the Apex and rumoured bikes like the Kwaka 250 hit Australian tracks, who knows what other manufacturers will do.
With some economic recovery and increased manufacturer confidence, by 2013 our tracks might see real race ready 250's everywhere.
Would it be a 250cc class limit (down from 300cc)?

the 2stroke class can only be 200cc and you can't reduce your engie size. yes they would make a great race quad again Smile

Here's one for you.....!
A lonestar 250r frame [OEM race ready] ordered with yz250f engine mounts .A big bore kit to take the capacity to 290cc.
This is an increase in capacity.
Engine mounts as they were manufactured [same as an apex 250].
The plot thickens .........

thanks scotty.
