Rubber grease for rubber bushes, which normally, but not always, are black.
You can get it pretty easily nowadays. Supacheap, Autobarn, Repco, etc.
If you look closely at them, you will see, and sometimes feel, that rubber has a slightly grainy appearance, ( like a school type eraser ) while neoprene are much smoother, like that other rubber......
We use to lube them up before re-assembly, mainly to make them easier to put back together, when I was doing suspensions.
Neoprene bushings come in any colour you like, including black.
If the fittings have a got a grease nipple, any grease will do the job of keeping the water/dust/mud out if used as needed.
And some neoprene bushings are made with a silicon grease in them, which is best because they don't "attract" dust like oil based lubricants.
I think the hype matches the price. _________________ Remember. We elect politicians, but we have to deal with bureaucracy.
Notice that crazy in the bureaucrats. |
