my brother has had a couple 1st he hit a wall on his 05 yfz he didn't see broke a couple of ribs, 2nd 1 he and my lad crashed coming into a corner both touched tyres his brand new ltr ended up on top of him broke rids a wrist and his thema had to have a rod inserted from his hip to his knee week in hospital 3 month rehab 6 months down time.

another of my mates rolled a tyre in a 5th gear corner flat out racing a banshee dislocated his shoulder 1/2 a dozen ribs collar bone punished lung 2 weeks in hospital 12 months before he could ride again could of died just about wrote off his 09 trx450 about 5k repair bill almost ready to get back into it

they pale into insignificance when it comes to another mate we ride with would be the gustiest guy I have ever met, had a head on with a lad on a bike at a off road park who was going the wrong way, lad on the bike was killed he was seriously injured lost his leg died 4 times in hospital had 2 heart attacks was in hospital for 2 years a real mess and he still rides his trx400 and has the occasional ride on a wr450 yam not easy with only 1 leg but he is still fast as

but all in all hardly worth "bragging" about these things can bite you when you least expect it only pic i have is the 1st crash

Christmas Eve 2007 I was riding by myself between Bellingham and Bridport on the North East coast of Tassie. It was blowing a gale and there were sand blows everywhere and I went straight over the edge of a 12 foot vertical drop.

I went over the handle bars and the quad landed on top of me and knocked me out for a few seconds. When I came to my left arm was at a 90 degree angle and I had a great gash on my leg. The quad was upside down on an angle and I managed to get it going and ride it 15 Klm's back to the shack.

The only communication I had was with an Amateur Radio and I called up on the repeater and somebody got an ambulance to come and collect me. It was a 70 Klm trip back to Launceston.

There weren't to many Orthapaedic Surgeons around in Northern Tassie on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day so I had to wait until Boxing Day for a 4 hour operation to put my arm back straight. I've still got 2 plates and 13 pins as a reminder.

I'll be back there again this year so hopefully I won't disturb the Ambo's this time.
