yeh all standard mate.except the swingarm i made that but its only 10mm longer than standard, and a different linkage setup up was all i had layin around lol.Yeh deffinately the time to be buyin from the usa just need money lol.Im kinda more focussed on the engine at the moment first though just wanna iron out any probs and test the reliabilty of it before i go spendin on suspension.

Yeh eventually i will mate.Same deal as the suspension i dont wanna put heaps of stuff into it before i get the balancer proven. At this stage i just wanna ride it and iron out the bugs.I still gotta order a pwk i did have one coming but changed my mind on that awhile back.for now the pj 38mm will have to do lol it still hauls arse with it though.

sweet, what about '99+ CR250 ignition? apparently it makes a big difference, especially combined with the pwk

why are you worried about the balancer? what do you reckon might go wrong with it?

have you had much interest from the states? taken any deposits yet lol!

Yeh had abit of interest from the dudes over the lake but i dont think it would be worth doin any more way to much work.Actually had way more interest in the laydown 250r cases for the 70's they dont stop askin about them ive just gotta pull my finger out and start weldin more of em ive got the jigs done just havent had time been flat out at work.
Im just worried becuase i dunno its a whole thing hangin off the side of the engine lol spinnin at around 9000rpm just cant expect it to work straight away i guess, dunno might be lucky.
Im lookin at gettin an elec strat setup on it something off the flywheel like the goki ones so i wont be playin with ignitions an different flywheels yet.

there is a guy on bannedcr500riders.com talking about using an ultra high output stator to work as an electric starter... sounds a bit far out to me but he reckons it has been done before. what is a goki starter mate? I would have thought you could adapt something from a ktm300 (maybe even use their ignition) either way you will need a compression release, shouldnt be too hard for you...

Goki is a company that makes elec starts for alot of things inc 350x trike 450r quad (the early models that came as kick start)They run a ring gear off the flywheel than a starter motor mounts into the flywheel cover.Kinda like this.

nice. i havent seen a ktm300exc-e setup up close but i imagine they would be like that.

did you see that post on banned? check this out:

"but make it have a 300w lighting coil, then start using the stator coils as the starter motor(itll need a fancy brushless controller thingy)
might need a decomp but it would weigh less than any other e start
its been done before, but i dont think on a bike yet"
