That Link above and the pic are the MX setups (I think). But they seem OK, #5 William Yokley took out 4th in the 1st GNCC for the season in Florida. _________________ Mic

Here's a little something that I was waffling about in another thread, what do you guys reckon?
I was really looking forward to this beast as the KX450F motor is suppose to be the bomb and with an alloy frame these things were looking pretty sh$t hot.
But it looks like they managed to F&^k it all up by only offering up a quad that is 45" wide. Great eh. Now if I want to race it, I'm up for ($1400) A-Arms, new front shocks ($2000) to mach the A-Arms, a wide ($700) axle, Nerfs ($300), and a kill switch ($35). Just to see if it is going to be as good as my already wide Yamaha.
But wait theres more. Lets not forget the rear shock if the standard shock can't keep up with the new front ones. Add that to the sticker price, which I'm guessing will be about $13500. Looks to be an $18000 proposition........
Think I just might buy some flash green fenders for my YFZ...... YAY! _________________ State governments give us REC rego + area to ride ATVs legaly! yeah it's a good advert
then right at the end they state
"and it has a reverse gear"
and i'm thinkin WTF?
I'm fine with an XC quad havin reverse, but that advert is aimed or targeting MX market,
maybe the XCers will just see it's gunna be a good enduro quad..
.
.
" and when you get into a holeshot bingle with 4 other quads,,, just hit reverse" LOL
carpark racing
.
bet Josh's bike has reverse, removed, disabled or somethin _________________ 007257 where are you???.... bring back the Bling |

yeah, think I can vaguely remember racin against a pred that hit reverse in a race situation
kind brings a smile to your face and you wish you had reverse gear for a split second. .
.
done a bit of a slack search
notice how you can't see any photo's of the left side of the bike, higher up where reverse levers are traditionally..
anyone seen any info or know where the reverse mechanism is on this bike??
.
imagine the Monster Kawasaki contract
.
you must portray the KFX450 Quad bike and all it's specifications especially reverse gear in a postive public way...
.
Josh C....." do I have to keep the reverse gear"
MK "yes and you must use-it at least once per moto meet"
Josh C..." doe's start gate parking count?"
.
.
.
back off for a second and that's where you'll come
hit reverse and you probably won't be First _________________ 007257 where are you???.... bring back the Bling |

yeah could be
looks as if it may double as a rev limiting interlock on the thumb throttle
so you don't drop the KFX-450 monster clutch at 6000rpm in reverse
and over the bars you go at the start gates completely roosting yourself.... _________________ 007257 where are you???.... bring back the Bling |

At the Yamaha MX meet in Brisbane one year a Raptor rider launched off the start line backwards..... took me...er... him.. a few corners to catch back up to everyone else.
HOW embarrasment.... for him i mean......

I wasn't actually talking about you big fella, but if you want to own up to these sorts of things then by all means fill you boots, LOL.
I was actually talking about the time I did it on my Raptor in 02 or 03, I can't quite remember which season cause that was too many beers ago.
Hey did you get down to Canberra on the weekend? _________________ State governments give us REC rego + area to ride ATVs legaly! State Status: VIC-No (Nazi's) QLD-Yes(no place to ride tho) NT-?
