I have posted this in the ATV Buggies and UTV section but I think it has wider importance.
I have just received a telephone call from the RTA telling me attempts may be made to cancel conditional registrations I have including registration of a Honda Pilot I have had since 1999.
If you have had any problem registering any type of buggy or if you have anything like a Pilot or buggy registered (Pilot, Odyssey, or any other similar ATV) please email me on burke@blackstone.com.au
I see Pilots and similar vehicles as one of the safest, most family friendly items through which people can enjoy the dunes and if anything needs to be done to ensure they are not outlawed I will be doing it. If they are outlawed I can see other ATVs following closely behind. I would appreciate any support or infromation that could assist. |

Thats F'n BS,,I agree with you those factory built Honda pilots and odysseys are probably the most safest machines on the dunes.
I hope its not a sign of things to come _________________ If a Quad is a Quad Bike,

I agree. It defies logic.
I was asked to check out my nieghbours newest addition.
A fully road registered 450 ( I think ) Yammy XT trail bike.
Knobbys, barely legible blinkers and tail lights.
The mirrors look like they've been knocked off out of a girls make up kit.
My quad would be way more road worthy, yet the authorities view it as conditionaql rego only.
Yet in Europe, parts of Canada and the US, they are fully road registered.
Just keep them off the Autobarn and the Interstates.
There are allowances in the various traffic regs for exemptions, but knowing the ins and outs as well as the right people to approach......
NOT RIGHT that professionally built world class stuff gets treated like a back-yard job.
Dammit! If the various niche parties can get elected for out there reasons, maybe a "Off-Road Party" can be legitimate....... _________________ Remember. We elect politicians, but we have to deal with bureaucracy.
