what?!
aboriginals have always owned stockton, hence the fee for the permit...
do you mean they have decided to close this 400 hectares??
pfft, let em have it, stockton is big enough for everyone |

| i think it was 400 or 4000hectares the aborginals have been fighting for it the past 10 yrs or something and there finally got it back thats all i know and there taking over on saturday,i know you could still be able to ride around in the basin cause thats owned by the sand miners unless they have a winge to get the riders off,and also the aboriginals have got no money to do anything with it so i rekon they'll be leaseing it out to the wildlife people in the near future you could probable still ride there, there got no way on catching you in a hurry though....... |

| Careful what you say.... you never know who is reading. In todays herald it states that the area of stockton will still be available for recreation use. |

I heard something about this a while back, National parks wanted to take control over from the Department of Lands who currently look after the native title owners interest and the rec area of stockton etc...
I got hold of some bloke at National Parks(will have to find his name again) who had been dealing with the attempted take over and he is VERY VERY anti ATV... infact he pointed out the the only part of stockton beach that is approved for rec use is a strip about 500 mtr wide near the beach..
The same guy has no idea about what rec rego is and has no interest either..
I asked what they had in mind for Stockton and was told they just wanted to take control of it and pull the area into line (scary)....
I has since found out from another source that National parks DO NOT have any funds for land management of the area as it has been quoted into the millions. That means..if they get it....chances are the area will be closed to everyone except the bush walkers....
and given the current state of rubish and litter on Stockton ....it's not helping
I guess the only real chance we have is a on mass letters to local members asking for a please explain re change of land use and if this is the only area with rec rego's...will they be allowing more area within the state forests etc...
As Barry stated in the lastest ATV action... I think the green vote is a little out of control..

I still want to know what the missing two letters are?
Anyway, I showed the cleaning lady and she thought It was totally repulsive, crude, rude and began to spank me. _________________ Don't close your eyes during the crash, you'll miss the best part |

well I hope they just leave it the way it is for all our sake...
They better make bloody good baricades from Newcastle to Anna Bay to keep everyone out of there and some damn fast cop bikes to police it if they want us all to stay out.... good luck to em...
People do need go clean up after themselves though, it is getting bad in the bush, not the dunes so much...
The bush all around better be policed as well, as if all us riders don't have stocko, only leaves us to hit the forests and S!@# like that...
